Daily Scuba Charters...
Come with us on some of the best dives in the Keys! Daily 2-tank, 2-location dive charters at 8:30 am and 1:00 pm. Full rental gear and multi-day dive packages available. Night dives? Wreck dives? We do it all at Atlantis!
Specialty Dives: Visit some of the great wonders of the underwater world with Altantis. Dive on the wreck of the 327' USCG Cutter Duane. Dive Key Largo's newest and most impressive wreck, the 510' Spiegel Grove - the largest artificial reef site in the US!

PLEASE NOTE: to ensure your safety and meet insurance stipulations, we require the following:
- BRING YOUR CERTIFICATION CARD. Ironically, this is the most important item divers may forget to pack!
- If it has been more than one year since your last SCUBA dive, you will be required to dive your first dive with one of our instructors.
- If it has been over two years since your last scuba dive, you will be required to take a one-day refresher course.
Remember, it is the responsibility of the individual diver to maintain his knowledge and skill level through practice and education.

Learn to Snorkel with the best! Whether you're a beginner or an expert, our snorkel trips are for you! We bring you straight to the best snorkeling in Pennekamp - the central reef area known for such sites as the "Christ of the Abyss" statue, Grecian Rocks, North Dry Rocks, and other spectacular reef sites known only to our captains. You'll see spectacular coral formations and hundreds of colorful tropical fish!

Capt. Slate's Atlantis Dive Center Inc. was founded in 1978 by Captain Spencer Slate, a former high school teacher and diver who had visions of creating a full service dive/charter operation and instructional training facility in the Florida Keys. Capt. Slate’s has by far exceeded Slate's dream of a full service dive/charter operation that provides divers and snorkelers access to the beautiful coral reefs of Key Largo.
Since 1980, Slate has been a NAUI Scuba Instructor and Instructor trainer. With Slate's knowledge and experience with the NAUI Scuba Program combined with that of his expert staff of professional NAUI instructors, Atlantis Dive Center has the perfect combination for success in teaching NAUI Scuba Professionals.
Capt. Slate’s Instructor Training Center was founded in 1991, and is licensed by the Florida Department of Education State Board of Independent Post-secondary Vocational, Technical, Trade and Business Schools.
Capt. Slate’s located directly on the Atlantic Ocean in the center of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park Located just 50 minutes from Miami International Airport, which allows our clients worldwide access to our facility for participation in our instructor development center.

Atlantis Dive Center’s Instructor Training Facility consists of a 200 square foot classroom with visual aid equipment located within the 2,000 square foot main store at 51 Garden Cove Drive, Key Largo, Florida 33037. Training in water will be done pool side at a local resort, at Key Largo Undersea Park, at Hyperbarics International and aboard our 40' custom dive boats to prepare candidates for a variety of environments and careers.

Captain Slate, world famous for taming barracudas and moray eels invites you to his weekly creature feature to meet his pets! Tamed and nurtured for over 25 years, these pets have been featured on the Discovery Channel, SEATV, Animal Planet, and dozens of TV features along with covers of most dive magazines.
Let Captain Slate introduce you to one of his pets for an experience you'll never forget. Each Creature Feature is video taped, so you may take a memory home of this unforgettable experience. Friday morning charters only.
Underwater Weddings!
Atlantis Dive Center is the originator of the Underwater wedding, holding the Guinness Book of Records title for the largest U/W wedding ever! For over 23 years our weddings have been featured on American and British television, along with feature articles in People Magazine, Brides Magazine and other publications. We preside over ceremonies at the famous Christ of the Abyss statue, 25 minutes from our docks. Want to stay dry at our underwater ceremonies? View the wedding party through our glassbottom boat! On-board catering of all your wedding needs is available....
Captain Slate also performs "dry" weddings on shore, on-board our charter boats, or even at the land facility of your choice. Have a beautiful sunset ceremony on the beach!
